Research Overview

The Department has an active research program in which faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students participate.  Much of the research can be classified loosely into the primary research disciplines of the department, an increasing number of projects are inherently multidisciplinary.  Individual faculty establish research laboratories, in which they and their students can carry out leading-edge research.  Some larger research efforts are listed as research centers; they typically include multiple faculty and even multiple departments or universities.
